On 13th September, 2023, the LFHS was privileged to be given a presentation on 'Mavisbank House' by one of their directors, Charlie Cumming. This was a very interesting and informative talk on one of our local Heritage sites, close to the Loanhead/Bonnyrigg area. They are currently looking for volunteers to carry out essential work to restore the landscape surrounding the site and are inviting people who are interested to become a 'Friend of Mavisbank'.

Always wanted to know more about your ancestors but didn't know how to go about it?

Pop into Loanhead Library on the 3rd Thursday of each month, 10.00 - 2.30 to meet members of the Lothians Family History Society who will happily help to start your journey, or try and help you with any 'lost' relatives.
